Livelihood is what people do to ensure their survival. To see their basic needs met. Occupations that sustain people and families. Livelihoods in India are often at threat due to changes in policies and economy that are inadequately planned and usually only secure the interests of the privileged. Unsustainable livelihoods are the largest cause of rural poverty, mass migrations and suicides. The simple ability to be able to secure all we need in order to live cannot be underestimated, if the country is to thrive.
