A group of eminent citizens, under the Chairmanship of Justice A.P. Shah, has prepared a document titled, “Reclaiming the Republic”. 

A press conference is being organised on the 5th of January at 3:00 pm at the Press Club of India to release and discuss the document. 

Justice A.P. Shah, Mr. Gopal Gandhi, Mr. Prashant Bhushan, Mr. Harsh Mander, Mr. Prabhat Patnaik, Ms. Anjali Bhardwaj and Mr. Yogendra Yadav will be addressing the press conference. 

The document ‘Reclaiming the Republic’

puts forth policy and legislative asks to protect and strengthen the Constitutional safeguards for India’s democratic polity. These are presented in the form of actionable programmes which could shape the agenda for the forthcoming elections.  The range of reforms proposed cover the following issues:
