Questions raised by the ABVP attack on JNU students and staff

Questions raised by the ABVP attack on JNU students and staff 1

Well, not really questions, because the answers are an open secret, but while the BJP ministers pretend to be shocked and the Delhi Police pretend to be doing their jobs, we must pretend to ask, I suppose.

How did the attackers get on the campus with weapons?

Multiple people confirm, that entry into JNU, like most colleges is controlled by security. Identification is required, as is confirmation by legitimate students or staff on the campus. So how exactly did the attackers get onto the campus with weapons?

Why were the police present and non-interfering, if the attack was not premediated?

Police in the habit of going for random evening walks to JNU? Why were they present in numbers before the attack? To protect attackers from each other? Also, for a police force that brutally assaulted Jamia students because a bus was burned, even as they said it wasn’t the students who did it, how exactly did they miss masked people assaulting students with weapons? Why did they not engage or neutralize the attackers?

Why have no arrests been made?

Given abundant evidence of premeditation, identities of several conspirators revealed, along with their phone numbers, abundant witnesses and videos, how is it that the police have not managed to arrest any one of those they safely escorted out after the attack?

Actually, there are many questions. But these three are a good start, since this is only a game of pretend anyway.
