Delhi is choking with pollution. And, our wise central government has ordered cutting of 16500 trees.

If we don’t awaken now, we will be dead forever as there will be no fresh air to breathe.

We, the citizens have decided to join together and assemble near Sarojini Nagar Police Station on Sunday, 24 June at 4:30 pm.

We will hug the trees which are planned to be cut to register our protest. All are requested to make creative placards on cardboard or chart paper with slogans such as.

PROTECT DELHI’S LUNGS
SAVE TREES SAVE FUTURE
HUG A TREE, SAVE YOUR LIFE
“Cut the greed , dear politicians ,
Don’t cut the trees”
Van hi jivan hai
More trees less pollution

You can make these placards on cardboard, old calendar or waste papers.

First plant 10 times the number of saplings and let them grow into established trees before cutting a single tree that lets us breathe in this polluted city.

No cutting trees today on the basis of vague promises tomorrow. We have seen grand government promises and no longer believe such “jumlas”.
