  1. This would be my first post here! Vidyut your blog is amazing! Personally i think, any independent woman, with even a tad bit of self respect should not accept dowry. If need be, marry after being economically independent and sponsor your own marriage. Too much to ask for? I dont think so. Dont men do that anyway?

  3. Dowry, whether given willingly or not, is a kind of reward that parents put on the head of their daughter, so she is not their worry for the rest of their lives!! A sort of pay off for riddance!!

  5. Nice Vidyut.  As a father of my daughter my objective in life is to give her all support for education and help her find her calling in life.  Marriage would be her choice and her “dowry” would be to provide her some comfort that her dad is there if she needs him. 🙂
